International Procurement and Logistics Business
About this business for saleInternational Procurement and Logistics Business
This business supplies a one stop shop for international procurement, distribution and logistics, servicing customers needs in mainly Sub- Saharan Africa from their offices in the South of Johannesburg.
With more than 30 years' experience in the industry, they were established in 1979 to satisfy the needs of clientele in Central Africa who had restricted access to everyday goods and services due to Foreign Exchange restrictions. Acting as a Central Procurement and Distribution Portal they pride themselves in being a “One-Stop Shop”, reaching out to those in remote areas who are unable to acquire essential goods and services at competitive pricing.
With extensive experience in procurement, logistics and distribution, they have served a multitude of people, commercial businesses and organisations (both Governmental and Non-Governmental). They have close relationships with Christian Missionary Hospitals, Schools and Mission Stations across Africa as well as the agricultural, tea, petroleum and mining industries.
With their Head Office based in Johannesburg they have offices/liaisons in Cape Town and Durban and representation in Zambia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Namibia, Botswana, United Kingdom and the UAE.
The business is capital intensive and this requirement has stunted growth in their target market. With the right financial backing the business can easily achieve previous revenues of three times what they are currently doing. The owner has down scaled as he is nearing retiring age. However, he wishes to remain on for at least a further two years to do a thorough handover of critical client relationship, and achieve the mentioned growth for an investor if required.
Investment Required: R2,028,000.00 excluding VAT. Sale can be zero rated for VAT purposes if purchaser is VAT registered or buys the shares in the business. The business does not carry stock.
