Leon is the LINK franchisee for the Johannesburg Southern and Eastern region. He is a keen amateur cook, reader of business books and a not so good but very enthusiastic golfer.
Leon has over 30 years of general management, turnaround and business development experience having held several board positions ranging from Marketing and Sales Director to Country Managing Director for well-known multinationals. He holds a post graduate business management qualification from Henley Management School, London.
In 1995, he bought his first business which today is still being managed by a family member. Later, in 1997, he bought a business out of liquidation, re-capitalized it and turned it into a profitable venture within one year before selling it.
He then returned to the corporate environment to turn around a multinational operating in South Africa, restructuring the business and installing a new management team. He ran the business as Managing Director for 5 years, achieving revenue and profit growth each year. Leon has since held various positions at board level in international logistics and the supply chain management industry.
Leon is analytical, a lateral thinker and competent problem solver. His many years of experience in general, financial, operational and relationship management positions him firmly as someone who can accurately determine the potential of any business thus maximizing its value for both sellers and buyers of businesses.
