Jason’s career began in the office automation business after graduating in the UK. He worked with large corporations, starting in a technical sales position, then working up the corporate ladder to national sales and marketing manager. He moved to South Africa in 2004 with dreams of becoming an aspiring entrepreneur.
A few months later he opened the first of 6 franchised cellular phone stores in Gauteng.
The brand eventually had a roll-out of over 180 stores, in which he played a pivotal role with development and implementation strategies on a consulting basis, eventually becoming the chairman of the national franchisee committee and acting as the voice for the franchisees.
After continued success the businesses were sold in 2008. He then started buying small businesses implementing turnaround strategies then selling for profit. In 2010 he purchased a master franchise start-up business from a global brand in the FMCG market; by 2015 the business had an annual turnover of over R85 million with an in-house staff complement of over 70.
