After leaving school, Mel joined her family’s BMW Dealership as the 4th generation in the business and over the years, worked her way up from Administration Assistant to Finance and Insurance Business Manager. 

In 2008 Mel relocated to Plettenberg Bay where she opened her own business in the fleet management industry. The business is now very profitable and continues to show a steady growth each year and has expanded to the whole Southern Cape area. 

Customer service is high on her priority list and this has ensured a continuous and loyal client base. 

In 2012 her business received the Achievement Award for the franchise with the most growth year on year. 

Mel has a passion for learning and has completed many courses and programs in different areas including business management, computers, psychology, financial management, quality management, business analysis and a qualification in short term insurance. 

In her spare time Mel enjoys reading, doing crosswords and spending time with her family, friends and pets.
